Rental assistance programs are comprehensive service programs for households with a solvable gap. These programs usually combine financial assistance for rent and utilities with an aggressive action plan for activities that household members design with a case manager. Funding is limited, eligibility requirements apply, and participating is subject to funding availability.

Income Guidelines

Eligibility Requirements vary by available funding. Generally, due to limited funding, applicants for assistance must:

  • Have a solvable gap (future ability to sustain your living expenses without assistance)
  • Meet income guidelines and other requirements for available funding
  • Meet HUD’s definition of homeless or at risk if not for this assistance
  • Be willing to actively participate in case management.

How to Apply

Obtain request for assistance packet here, in the CinA Housing Resource Center, or by request
via US mail or e-mail. Call to request packet via mail (541-889-9555 ext. 100).

We are open to the public Monday through Thursday from 9:00a-4:00p and Friday 9:00am-12:00pm. All prospective participants must fill out a Service Request Packet (all packets must be complete before they will be reviewed). Service Request Packets can be picked up at CinA’s Housing Department or on the link below. Once a packet has been completed and submitted to CinA, they will be reviewed twice a week for eligibility and participants will receive an Applicant Eligibility Notification (either by mail or phone) that will notify a potential participant of any follow up.

Packets may also be dropped off in person, mailed in, or faxed to (541) 889-0768, when applicants provide call back contact information.
