Oregon Foreclosure Avoidance (OFA) Program
The Oregon Legislature, in an effort to protect the consumers of Oregon, created the Oregon Foreclosure Avoidance (OFA) Program, which was recently modified under Senate Bill 558 (2013). Prior to initiating any type of foreclosure proceeding (judicial or non-judicial), a lender must now request a resolution conference with the homeowner in accordance with the rules of the program. Alternatively, the homeowner may request a resolution conference with their lender by meeting certain requirements.

Online Foreclosure Counseling Workshop
These workshops are designed to help you understand the basics of housing counseling, the foreclosure process, assess your financial situation, and review the options for keeping or leaving your home. When you’re done, you’ll be better prepared for a one-on-one meeting with a local housing counselor.
The workshop includes seven different videos with a brief quiz after each video, and will take about half an hour to complete. Upon completion of the workshop you’ll receive a certificate, which you can use to prove you completed the workshop if needed.
